Component
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP
Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The fuel pump in your Audi is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain 2019-2021 Q8 and 2020-2021 Q7 models, a small component inside the pump can break, making the pump fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pump fails while you're driving, your engine will suddenly shut off, losing power steering and power brakes. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice you received on December 22, 2022.
