SUSPENSION Safety Recalls

High Priority #19V114000 Plain English
Component

SUSPENSION:FRONT:SHOCK ABSORBER

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
Your vehicle's shock absorbers help control how your car handles on the road, especially when going around corners. The front shock absorber forks are the parts that connect the shocks to the steering system.
Risk if Unfixed
If the shock absorber forks crack and loosen, your vehicle's steering may become less stable, making it harder to control. This could increase the risk of a crash, especially if you're driving on a winding road or suddenly need to swerve.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the shock absorber forks with new ones, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice and contact Audi's customer service if you have any questions.
