What Happened
The brake master cylinder in your Audi Q5 is a critical part that helps control your brakes. It's possible that the part on your 2018-2019 model is made from a casting that's too short.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake master cylinder fails, your brakes could suddenly stop working, making it hard to control your vehicle. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Audi will inspect the brake master cylinder and replace it for free if it's faulty. You should contact your Audi dealer to schedule the repair.

What Happened
The wheel arch cover trim is a small plastic piece on the side of your Audi Q5 or SQ5. It's there to protect the wheel and improve appearance. But in some 2018-2019 models, it can come loose and fall off.
Risk if Unfixed
If the trim comes off while you're driving, it could become a hazard on the road, increasing the chance of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will add an extra screw and nut to secure the trim in place, and it won't cost you a thing. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as you can.

What Happened
The seat belt pretensioner in your vehicle is a critical safety device that tightens the seat belt in the event of a crash. In some affected 2016-2018 Audi and Volkswagen models, this pretensioner might not activate when it should.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pretensioner fails to work properly in a crash, you're at a higher risk of serious injury. The airbags might not deploy fully, leaving you without the protection you need to stay safe.
Free Fix
Your Audi or Volkswagen dealer will replace the faulty pretensioner and any affected airbags for free. This is a free repair, and you should have it done as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.

(Volkswagen) is recalling certain model year 2017 Audi A7, A4, A6, Volkswagen Golf and Tiguan vehicles and 2016 Volkswagen e-Golf vehicles for driver frontal air bags, passenger frontal air bags or head air bags that may not deploy properly. Additionally, certain 2017 Audi Q7, A4 Sedan, A4 Allroad, and 2018 Audi Q5 vehicles are being recalled because the seat belt pretensioners may not activate properly.

What Happened
The gateway control module in your Audi controls various electronic systems, like your wipers and lights. In some 2021-2022 Q5 and SQ5 models, water can seep into this module through the floor or rear seat area.
Risk if Unfixed
If water gets into the gateway control module, it could shut down the engine while you're driving, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a protective cover on the gateway control module and seal any gaps in the underbody, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

A liquid spill in the rear seat, or water ingress from an insufficient body seam underneath the vehicle may allow liquid to penetrate the gateway control module, causing it to shutdown.
