What Happened
The electric coolant pump in your Audi is a small motor that helps keep your engine cool. In certain models, this pump can get clogged with debris or short circuit from moisture, leading to overheating.
Risk if Unfixed

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2013-2017 Audi A5 Cabriolet, A5 Sedan and Audi Q5 vehicles, 2012-2015 Audi A6 vehicles and 2013-2016 Audi A4 Sedan and A4 allroad vehicles. These vehicles, equipped with 2.0l Turbo FSI engines, have an electric coolant pump that can either become blocked with debris from the cooling system causing it to overheat or can short-circuit from moisture within the pump.

A blocked pump or a short-circuited pump can increase the risk of a fire.

Audi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the pumps, free of charge. The recall began September 14, 2018. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. What Happened
The fuel pump flange in your Audi Q5 or Q7 is a small part that connects the fuel pump to the gas tank. In certain models from 2013-2017, this flange can crack and start leaking fuel.
Risk if Unfixed
If the flange cracks while you're driving, fuel can leak out and come into contact with an ignition source, which could cause a fire.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will inspect the fuel pump flange and replace it if it's cracked. If it's not cracked, they'll apply a protective film to prevent any future damage. This repair is completely free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

The affected vehicles are equipped with driver and front seat passenger seat-mounted air bag inflators that may rupture in the event of a crash.

VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY

What Happened
The sunroof drainage system in your Audi Q5 is supposed to keep water from seeping into the area around your side airbag. However, in some 2011-2017 models, this system can fail, allowing water to get in and damage the airbag canister.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag canister gets corroded, it could break apart without deploying the airbag. This could send sharp metal fragments into the passenger area, potentially causing serious injury or even death to you or your passengers.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will inspect the airbag canister, remove any damaged foam, and either coat or replace it with a new one, all at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2011-2017 Audi Q5 vehicles. The sunroof drainage system may allow water to soak into the foam surrounding the side head air bag inflator canister resulting in the corrosion of the canister. If this happens, the corrosion can weaken the canister and the inflator could fracture without air bag deployment, propelling fragments into the passenger compartment, striking and causing serious injury to vehicle occupants.
