What Happened
The part that seals your fuel tank is called the filler neck cap. In some cases, it might not close properly, letting fuel vapors escape.
Risk if Unfixed
If this happens, the leak detection system will kick in and turn on the warning light on your dashboard. This isn't a safety issue, but it could cause the light to stay on and indicate a problem.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty filler neck and expansion tank assembly at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, and if it's not done within a reasonable time, contact Audi at 1-866-892-2834.
