What Happened
The front suspension in your Audi A5 Sportback helps stabilize your vehicle while driving. In some 2018 models, the bolts that hold the front wheels in place might not have been tightened properly during manufacturing, which could cause the wheel to come loose.
Risk if Unfixed
If the front wheel comes loose, it could make it harder to steer your vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Your Audi dealer will check the front suspension fasteners and tighten or replace them if necessary – at no cost to you. Schedule an appointment as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Volkswagen Group of North America (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2018 Audi A5 Sportback vehicles. The front suspension fasteners may not have been sufficiently tightened during vehicle production, possibly resulting in a front wheel becoming loose.

Volkswagen has notified owners, and dealers will inspect the front suspension fasteners, and replace them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began January 23, 2019. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 40O2.
