EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
Your Audi's tail lights are equipped with a wiring harness that protects the wires from damage. In some 2020-2021 A5 and S5 Sportback models, this protection is missing in the area near the spare wheel well.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're involved in a rear collision, the wires could be damaged, causing your doors to become stuck and your hazard lights to fail. This could make it harder for emergency responders to reach you, increasing the risk of injury.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will add scuff protection to the wiring harness to prevent damage, and this repair is completely free. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
