EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The tailgate lid light assembly in your Acura MDX is the part that helps you see when your tailgate is open and your position and license plate lights are working properly. Moisture can get in and cause the lights to fail, including the ones on the tailgate, sides, and back of your car.
Risk if Unfixed
If your lights don't come on, it's harder to see and be seen, which increases the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Acura dealer will check the wiring, replace the faulty tailgate light, install a new fuse harness, and seal any gaps in the body, all free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.
