Component
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:PEDALS AND LINKAGES
Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The brake pedal pivot pin on your vehicle is a small metal piece that connects the brake pedal to the rest of the brake system. In certain 2021-2025 Acura TLX, 2023-2025 Acura MDX, and 2023-2025 Honda Pilot models, this pin wasn't properly secured, which could cause the pedal to move out of place.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake pedal shifts out of position, you might find it harder to press the brake pedal down as intended, which increases the risk of a crash or injury, even at low speeds.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will inspect and replace the brake pedal assembly if needed, and this repair is free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
