Component

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:PEDALS AND LINKAGES

Manufacturer
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.)
What Happened
The brake pedal pivot pin in your vehicle is a small part that helps keep the brake pedal in place. In some 2021-2025 Acura TLX, 2023-2025 Acura MDX, and 2023-2025 Honda Pilot models, this pin wasn't installed correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the pedal shifts out of place, you might not be able to press the brake pedal as hard as you need to, which increases the risk of a crash or injury. This is a serious safety issue, and you should address it right away.
Free Fix
Your authorized Honda dealer will inspect and replace the brake pedal assembly if necessary, completely free of charge. You'll get a letter with the details, but you can also contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138 to schedule the repair.
