FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

Manufacturer
Volvo Car USA LLC
What Happened
The Automatic Emergency Braking system in your vehicle relies on special software and hardware to detect obstacles and stop your car quickly. In some 2019-2020 models, these parts might not work together properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If the Automatic Emergency Braking system fails to engage when it should, it could lead to a crash. This is especially concerning because it might not be able to stop your vehicle in time to avoid a collision.
Free Fix
Volvo will update the software in your vehicle's safety system for free. You should contact your Volvo dealer to schedule this update as soon as possible.
