What Happened
The power steering return line hose in your vehicle is a critical part that helps your steering system work smoothly. Unfortunately, a section of this hose in your 2008-2009 Volvo wasn't properly fixed, which makes it prone to failure.
Risk if Unfixed
If the power steering hose fails, it could burst and drain the power steering fluid, causing your power steering to fail completely. This could make steering your vehicle much harder, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Volvo dealer will inspect and replace the steering return line hose with a new one, at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair as soon as possible to ensure your safety on the road.

VOLVO IS RECALLING MY 2008-2009 VEHICLES. A SECTION OF THE POWER STEERING RETURN LINE HOSE WAS NOT PROPERLY VULCANIZED (CURED) AND DOES NOT MEET SPECIFICATIONS. IF THE POWER STEERING RETURN HOSE FAILS, A SUDDEN RUPTURE OF THE HOSE CAN OCCUR.

THIS CAN RESULT IN A RAPID DRAINAGE OF THE POWER STEERING FLUID IN THE SYSTEM AND A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER ASSISTANCE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

What Happened
The portable GPS unit in your vehicle uses a small battery to keep its maps and directions up to date. However, this battery can get too hot and cause a fire.

If the battery overheats, it could catch fire, which could damage your vehicle and put you at risk of injury.

Your dealer will replace the faulty battery with a new one and add a protective spacer to prevent future overheating issues. This repair is free of charge, so schedule it as soon as possible to avoid any risks.

THE UNIT'S BATTERY WILL BE REPLACED WITH A NEW BATTERY AND A SPACER WILL BE INSERTED ON TOP OF THE BATTERY NEXT TO THE PCB. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. What Happened
The label on your car is supposed to tell you the correct tire inflation pressure. In some 2006-2012 C70 and 2011-2012 S60 models, the label is wrong, which could lead to underinflated tires.

THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NUMBER. 110, "TIRE SELECTION AND RIMS." THESE VEHICLES DO NOT CONTAIN THE CORRECT INFORMATION FOR VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE OPTIONAL ACCESSORY SPARE TIRE AND WHEEL KIT.
