SUSPENSION:CRITICAL FASTENERS

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The critical fasteners, also known as the driver-side rear trailing arm bolts, hold your Atlas's rear suspension in place. In some 2022-2023 models, these bolts might not have been tightened correctly, which could cause them to come loose.
Risk if Unfixed
If the bolts fall out, your rear suspension could break, making your vehicle unstable and hard to control. This could lead to a sudden loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Volkswagen dealer will tighten the existing bolts or replace them with new ones, free of charge. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
