What Happened
The front lower control arm in your vehicle is a metal piece that connects the front wheels to the rest of the frame. It's made of metal and can corrode over time, especially in areas where they use a lot of road salt.
Risk if Unfixed
If the front control arm corrodes and breaks, you could lose control of your vehicle while driving, which could lead to a crash.
Free Fix
Your Mitsubishi dealer will check the front cross member for corrosion and apply a protective coating or replace it with a new one, free of charge. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
