EVENT_SUMMARY
Your vehicle's column shift lever and linkage need to be fixed to prevent a safety issue. The recall is for the 2016-2017 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis, 2011-2017 Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 Cab Chassis, 2009-2017 Ram 1500, and 2010-2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks with a column shifter.

If the issue isn't fixed, you could accidentally shift the transmission into gear without pressing the brake pedal or having the key in the ignition, which could cause your vehicle to roll away and lead to a crash or personal injury.
RESOLUTION_PROTOCOL
Chrysler will notify you and fix the issue for free. Your local dealership will update the vehicle software, inspect the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI), and replace it if necessary, all at no cost to you.
