Component
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
Manufacturer
NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC.
What Happened
The bolts connecting the oil cooler and oil filter to your engine might be weaker than they should be. This can cause them to break, leading to an oil leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If oil leaks out, your engine oil pressure could drop, causing the engine to seize. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty bolts with stronger ones, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
