What Happened
The brake caliper and wheel hub bearing in your 2024 RAV4 or 2025 Lexus NX are held in place by bolts. In some cases, these bolts can become loose, which can damage the brake line or cause the wheel to break free.
Risk if Unfixed
If the brake line gets damaged, you might notice your brakes don't work as well as they should, making it harder to stop the vehicle. If the wheel breaks free, you could lose control of your car, which increases the risk of a serious crash.
Free Fix
Your Toyota dealer will inspect and tighten the bolts that hold your brake caliper and wheel hub bearing in place. If any parts are damaged, they'll be replaced for free. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — Risk if Unfixed
A damaged brake line can cause a brake fluid leak, reducing brake performance and increasing the distance required to stop the vehicle. Wheel detachment can result in a loss of vehicle control. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.
