SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:HEAD RESTRAINT

Manufacturer
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
What Happened
The head restraints in your Lexus or Toyota are the adjustable parts behind your head and neck that keep you safe in a crash. In some 2024-2025 models, these head restraints can come loose without you even realizing it.
Risk if Unfixed
If a head restraint isn't properly secured, it could fail to do its job during a rear-end collision, which could lead to more severe head or neck injuries.
Free Fix
Your dealership will replace the entire head restraint assembly in your driver and passenger seats, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2024 Lexus RX 350, RX 350h, 2024-2025 NX 250, NX 350, and NX 350h vehicles. The head restraints on the driver and front passenger seats may be inadvertently removed without pressing the lock release button. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 202, "Head Restraints."
Original — Risk if Unfixed
A head restraint that is inadvertently removed and not reinstalled can increase the risk of injury during a rear-end crash.
Original — Remedy
Dealers will replace the driver and front passenger seat head rest assemblies, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 14, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24LB06 and 24LA06.
