STEERING:COLUMN

Manufacturer
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing
What Happened
The steering column in your vehicle has a spiral cable that helps control your airbag. In some cases, this cable might not be properly connected, which could cause the airbag to not deploy in an accident.
Risk if Unfixed
If the airbag doesn't deploy as it should, you could be at risk of serious injury in a crash. This is because the airbag helps protect you from head and neck trauma.
Free Fix
Your Toyota dealer will inspect and replace the cable assembly if it's not connected properly, at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice, and they'll take care of it.
