What Happened
The air bag inflators in your vehicle are critical safety devices that deploy in a crash to cushion your head, neck, and body. Unfortunately, some of these inflators have a problem: they might not have enough of the right chemicals to work properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If your air bag doesn't inflate as it should in a crash, you're at greater risk of serious injury. This could happen if you're sitting in the seat where the faulty air bag is located, and it could leave you unprotected in a collision.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty air bag inflator with a new one, completely free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible to ensure your air bag is working properly to protect you in case of an accident.

Original — What Happened
ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, DUE TO IMPROPER ASSEMBLY OF THE AIR BAG INFLATOR, WHICH IS USED IN THE SIDE AIR BAG, THE CURTAIN SHIELD AIR BAG, AND THE KNEE AIR BAG ASSEMBLY, SOME INFLATORS WERE PRODUCED WITH AN INSUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF THE HEATING AGENTS NECESSARY FOR PROPER AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. IN THIS CONDITION, THE EXPANSION FORCE OF THE GAS MAY BE INSUFFICIENT TO PROPERLY INFLATE THE AIR BAG WHEN THE SRS SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED DURING A CRASH.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
THIS MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY TO THE OCCUPANT IN THE INVOLVED SEATING POSITION IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
Original — Remedy
