Component
AIR BAGS
Manufacturer
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC
What Happened
The Occupant Classification System is a computer that helps decide if your airbags should deploy in a crash. In your 2010-2015 LR2 or 2012-2013 Range Rover Evoque, this computer might not work right, which could leave your front passenger airbag off or not working properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash and the airbag doesn't deploy or deploys incorrectly, the front seat passenger could get hurt more seriously than they would have been otherwise. This is a serious safety risk.
Free Fix
Land Rover will update the computer that controls your airbags, free of charge. You'll get a notice when the repair is ready, and your local dealer will take care of it.
