Original — What Happened
Jaguar Land Rover is recalling certain model year 2012 LR2 and Range Rover Evoque vehicles manufactured on June 11, 2012. The rear brake caliper retaining bolts may be insufficiently torqued.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
Insufficiently torqued brake caliper bolts may result in the brake caliper detaching. A detached brake caliper may lead to a loss of brake function. Additonally, the caliper may strike a wheel resulting in the sudden deflation of a tire. Either situation may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.
Original — Remedy
Jaguar Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and tighten the rear brake caliper retaining bolts, free of charge. The recall began on January 11, 2013. Owners may contact Jaguar Land Rover at 1-800-637-6837, Option 9.

AIR BAGS

Manufacturer
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC
What Happened
The Occupant Classification System is a computer in your Land Rover that helps decide whether or not your front passenger air bag should inflate in a crash. In some 2010-2015 LR2 and 2012-2013 Range Rover Evoque models, this computer might not work properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If you're in a crash and the air bag is supposed to deploy, but it doesn't or doesn't work right, you or your passenger could get hurt more seriously than if the air bag had worked as it should.
Free Fix
Your Land Rover dealer will update the computer that controls the air bag, making sure it's working correctly. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
