What Happened
The tire pressure monitoring system in your vehicle is a computer system that checks your tire pressure and warns you if it's low. In some 2024-2026 models, there's a software glitch that might prevent the system from working correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If your TPMS warning light doesn't turn on when your tire pressure is low, you won't know to check your tires, which could lead to a blowout while driving — a potentially serious situation that could cause a crash.
Free Fix
Your dealer will update the software in your vehicle's radio frequency hub for free. You should schedule the update as soon as you get the recall notice, which will be mailed starting September 29, 2026.

Original — What Happened
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer, 2024-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L, 2025-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L, 2026 Jeep Cherokee, and Jeep Grand Wagoneer L PHEV vehicles. Due to a software error, the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to detect low tire pressure and/or fail to illuminate the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring System."

Dealers will update the radio frequency hub software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed beginning September 29, 2026. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is 54D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov on September 9, 2026.
