What Happened
The battery sensor in your Honda Accord is a small part that helps keep your vehicle's electrical system working properly. It's located on your battery and can be damaged if water gets in.
Risk if Unfixed
If water gets into the battery sensor, it could cause an electrical short, which increases the risk of a fire in your vehicle.
Free Fix
Your Honda dealer will replace the battery sensor with a new one, and they'll also apply a special sealant to prevent water from getting in. This repair is completely free, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.

Original — What Happened
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Honda Accord vehicles. The case for the battery sensor, part of the battery management system, may allow water to get in, potentially causing an electrical short.

Original — Remedy
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the sensor, free of charge. Dealers will perform an interim remedy of applying adhesive to the case to prevent water intrusion.
