ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH

Manufacturer
HONDA (AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO.)
What Happened
The ignition switch in your vehicle has a safety feature that makes sure you can't turn off the engine and remove the key unless the transmission is in park. In some cases, this feature may not be working properly.
Risk if Unfixed
If you don't put the transmission in park and remove the key, your vehicle could roll away and crash. This could happen because the parking brake wasn't engaged.
Free Fix
Your dealer will check the ignition switch to make sure it's working correctly and replace the interlock lever with a new one that meets safety standards – at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as possible.
