The fuel rail pulse damper retainer clip is a small part on your engine that keeps a crucial component from coming loose. It's like a tiny clip that holds a small part in place.
Risk if Unfixed
If this clip breaks, fuel can leak out and, if there's an ignition source, it could catch fire. This is a serious situation that could cause a fire in your engine compartment.
Free Fix
Your dealer will replace the faulty clip with a new one at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

ON CERTAIN TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH AN 8.1L V8 (RPO L8-VIN G) ENGINE HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH THE ENGINE FUEL RAIL PULSE DAMPER RETAINER CLIP MAY FRACTURE RESULTING IN INADEQUATE RETENTION OF THE DAMPER.

IF THE DAMPER COMES LOOSE, A FUEL LEAK MAY RESULT. FUEL LEAKAGE, IN THE PRESENCE OF AN IGNITION SOURCE, COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.

The hub assembly is a critical part that connects the wheel to your vehicle's axle. Federal-Mogul made some faulty hub assemblies that could come loose, causing your wheel to detach.

Free Fix
Federal-Mogul will replace the faulty hub assembly with a new one at no cost to you. You should contact Federal-Mogul at 877-489-6659 to schedule the free repair, which began on February 7, 2008.
