What Happened
The park rod guide retention pin in your vehicle is a small metal piece that helps keep your transmission in place. In some 2010 Fusions, Milans, and Escapes, this pin wasn't properly installed.
Risk if Unfixed
If you park on an incline without engaging the parking brake, your vehicle could roll away, potentially causing a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will fix the issue by properly installing the park rod guide retention pin – at no cost to you. Just schedule the repair when you receive the recall notice.
