What Happened
The rear shock absorbers in your Bronco help smooth out bumps on the road and keep your vehicle stable. Unfortunately, the ones on certain 2021-2024 models might be prone to rust and fail.
Risk if Unfixed
If your rear shock absorber fails, a reservoir compartment could break loose and become a hazard on the road – this could cause another vehicle to hit it and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will replace the rear shock absorbers with new, rust-resistant ones – at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair when you receive your recall notice, so you can drive safely and confidently again.

Original — What Happened
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles. The rear shock absorbers may corrode and fail, resulting in detachment of the external reservoir.

Dealers will replace the rear shock absorbers, as necessary free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 15, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S01.
