AIR BAGS:SENSOR:SIDE IMPACT

Manufacturer
Ford Motor Company
What Happened
The side impact sensors on your Bronco are like the eyes of your airbag system. They detect when you're in a side collision and deploy the airbag to protect you. In some 2021-2022 models, these sensors might not be securely attached.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensors aren't properly attached, the airbags could go off without warning, or not protect you when they should. This could lead to serious injury in a side collision.
Free Fix
Your Ford dealer will check the sensor attachments and fix them if needed, at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
