What Happened
A part called the silencer pad in your vehicle's underbody shields is at risk of falling and melting when it touches a nearby light, causing a strong smell and/or smoke.

If this happens, you could breathe in the smoke, which could harm you and the people in your vehicle.
Free Fix
The dealership will remove the insulation pad from behind both of your rear map lights at no cost to you.

Original — What Happened
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. THROUGH DEGRADATION OF THE BOND BETWEEN THE SILENCER PAD AND A SHEET METAL PANEL (QUARTER INNER UPPER), THE PAD MAY FALL ONTO THE MAP LIGHT LOCATED IN THE REAR SEATING AREA NEAR THE C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL (LH AND RH). THIS CONTACT COULD CAUSE THE PAD TO MELT, CREATING A HOT SMELL AND/OR SMOKE DURING LONG PERIODS OF ILLUMINATION.
