ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC)

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The integrated brake module in your vehicle is a critical system that helps you stop safely. It's like a brain that talks to your brakes, ABS, and stability control to ensure smooth stops and cornering.
Risk if Unfixed
If this module fails, you could lose power brake assist, making it harder to stop your vehicle. Or, your ABS and stability control systems might not work properly, which can cause you to lose control of your vehicle. Either way, you're more likely to be involved in a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty integrated brake module with a new one, at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice. If your vehicle was previously repaired under recall number 24V-104, you'll need to have the new remedy completed as well.
