What Happened
The wheel bolts on your X6 are the metal fasteners that hold your wheels in place. In some 2018-2019 models, these bolts weren't tightened properly, which could lead to a problem.
Risk if Unfixed
If the wheel bolts break on the road, you could lose control of your vehicle, which could lead to a crash. This is especially concerning because it could happen while you're driving at high speeds or on uneven terrain.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect and tighten all the wheel bolts to ensure they're secure, and replace any that are damaged or worn out – all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

Original — What Happened
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2018-2019 BMW X6 sDrive35i, X6 xDrive35i, X6 xDrive50i, and X6M vehicles. The wheel bolts on these vehicles may not have been properly tightened.
Original — Risk if Unfixed
The improperly tightened wheel bolts may loosen and break, affecting vehicle handling and control and increasing the risk of a crash.
Original — Remedy
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace and tighten all of the wheel bolts, free of charge. The recall began November 1, 2018. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
