VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD:CRITICAL FASTENERS
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The critical fasteners on your X4 or X6's windshield are crucial to keeping water out of sensitive electrical parts. Unfortunately, there's a chance they may not be sealed correctly.
Risk if Unfixed
If water gets inside, your headlights or doors might stop working, making it harder to see or exit your vehicle. In the worst case, an electrical short could start a fire while you're driving or parked.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect and reseal your windshield, replace the control unit and wiring, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, usually by November 21, 2025.
