POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM)

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The transmission control module in your vehicle is a critical computer that helps your transmission shift gears smoothly. In some 2023 BMW models, the cover of this module might not have been properly welded, allowing transmission oil to leak into it.
Risk if Unfixed
If transmission oil gets into the control unit, the gears could seize, causing your vehicle to suddenly lose power and potentially lead to a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the transmission control module and flush the transmission fluid, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.
