What Happened
The front brake caliper is a critical part that helps your motorcycle stop smoothly. In your 2019-2020 R 1250 GS, GS Adventure, R 1250 RT, 2020 S 1000 RR, or S 1000 XR, the caliper could start leaking brake fluid when you park your bike.
Risk if Unfixed
If the caliper leaks brake fluid over time, the fluid level in your brake reservoir will drop. This could lead to reduced brake performance, making it harder to stop your motorcycle, and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect the front brake caliper and replace it with a new one, free of charge, as soon as possible. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2019-2020 R 1250 GS, GS Adventure and R 1250 RT, 2020 S 1000 RR and S 1000 XR motorcycles. The front brake calipers may leak brake fluid when parked.
