FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The fuel pump in your bike is the part that sends gasoline from the tank to your engine. In certain models, the flange that holds the pump in place can crack and cause a leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel pump flange cracks, it could leak fuel while your engine is running. This could ignite and cause a fire, which could lead to serious injury or property damage.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new, safer version at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you should schedule it as soon as you get the recall notice.
