Component
FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP
Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The fuel pump in your motorcycle is responsible for delivering gasoline to your engine. In some 2011-2014 models, this pump can crack and leak fuel while you're riding, which is a serious safety issue.
Risk if Unfixed
If that happens, you're at risk of a fire, which could be deadly. A leak in the presence of a spark could ignite the fuel and cause a blaze.
Free Fix
Your authorized BMW dealer will replace the faulty fuel pump with a new one, at no cost to you. This repair is free, and you'll be contacted when it's time to schedule the fix.
