FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS

What Happened
The fuel tank vent line in your i3 REx is a hose that helps prevent fuel vapors from building up. Over time, it may rub against the battery cable and develop a hole, causing a leak.
Risk if Unfixed
If the vent line leaks, fuel vapors could be present when you're near a spark or open flame, increasing the risk of a fire.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect the vent line and replace it if needed, and add a clip to prevent it from rubbing against the battery cable – all for free. You'll get a notice when it's time to bring your car in.
