What Happened
Your 740i's, 760i's, or i7's front seat adjustment system is the part that lets you move the front seat forward and backward. Unfortunately, it might not have been properly attached to the seat frame in your vehicle.
Risk if Unfixed
If the seat adjustment system fails, it could cause the seat to break apart in a crash, which could lead to serious injury or harm to an occupant.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect the front seats and replace the seat structure, including the adjustment system, if necessary – all for free. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.
