Component
EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS
Manufacturer
BMW OF NORTH AMERICA, LLC
What Happened
Your vehicle's rear lights, like the tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals, are controlled by electrical contacts in the body panel. Over time, these contacts can wear out, causing one or more lights to stop working.
Risk if Unfixed
If your tail light, brake light, or turn signal stops working, other drivers won't be able to see your intentions, which could lead to a crash without warning.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will repair or replace the faulty electrical contacts, free of charge, as soon as you get the recall notice. This repair is completely free, so schedule it as soon as you can.
