EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Manufacturer
BMW of North America, LLC
What Happened
The side marker lights on your vehicle are the lights that make your car more visible to others when you're driving at night. In some 2012-2015 BMW models, the software controlling these lights might not work correctly, making them turn off when you use your parking lights or headlights.
Risk if Unfixed
If the side marker lights are out, your car might be harder to see at night, which could increase the risk of a collision.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will update the software in your vehicle's computer system to fix the issue – and it's completely free. You should schedule the update as soon as you get the recall notice.
