EXTERIOR LIGHTING Safety Recalls

Moderate #11V438000 Plain English
Component

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS

Manufacturer
BMW OF NORTH AMERICA, LLC
What Happened
The tail lights on your vehicle are controlled by electrical contacts inside the body of your car. Over time, these contacts can wear out, causing one or more of your rear lights (like your brake light or turn signal) to stop working.
Risk if Unfixed
If your tail lights aren't working correctly, other drivers might not see you making turns or stopping, which could lead to a crash without warning.
Free Fix
Your BMW dealer will inspect and repair the electrical contacts in your tail lights at no cost to you. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.
