What Happened
The engine cylinder bore is a critical part of your Audi's engine. In some 2021 models, small cracks might develop on its surface, which could weaken the engine.
Risk if Unfixed
If the cracks worsen, the engine could seize or start leaking oil while you're driving. This could cause your engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash or fire.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the engine entirely, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, and it won't cost you a thing.

Your car's rear axle is what connects the wheels to the rest of the vehicle. In certain Audi models, the alignment of this axle might not have been checked after a previous repair, which could lead to uneven tire wear.

If the rear axle is misaligned, your tires will wear down faster or unevenly. This could make your car harder to control, increasing the risk of a crash.

SEAT BELTS:REAR/OTHER:RETRACTOR

What Happened
The rear seat belt retractor in your vehicle is the part that keeps the seatbelt locked and secure for your passengers. In some 2021-2022 models, this retractor could stop working too soon, making it hard for your child's car seat to stay safely buckled in.
Risk if Unfixed
If the retractor fails, your child's car seat might not stay securely fastened, which could lead to serious injury during a crash.
Free Fix
Your local Volkswagen or Audi dealer will check your seat belts and replace the faulty retractor if necessary – at no cost to you. You'll receive a notice in the mail with instructions on what to do next, but you can also call Volkswagen at 1-800-893-5298 or Audi at 1-800-253-2834 to get started.
