Component
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL
Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The instrument cluster in your vehicle is the dashboard display that shows your speed, warning lights, and other important info. In certain 2021 models, the software controlling this display can glitch and stop working.
Risk if Unfixed
If the instrument panel fails, you won't get key safety info like your speed or warning lights. This could lead to a sudden loss of situational awareness, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the software controlling your instrument cluster for free. Simply schedule the repair when you get the recall notice, and they'll take care of it at no cost to you.
