What Happened
Your vehicle's body control module is a computer that helps control various features like lights, windows, and locks. It's located under the rear seat, and a liquid spill or water leak could damage it.
Risk if Unfixed
If the body control module shuts down while you're driving, your engine power will suddenly decrease, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Audi will add a protective cover to the body control module and seal any water leaks in the underbody of your vehicle, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice, which was mailed January 21, 2022.
