Component
STEERING:ELECTRIC POWER ASSIST SYSTEM
Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The electric power steering assist system in your Audi SQ5 helps make steering easier. It's controlled by a sensor that can fail in very cold temperatures.
Risk if Unfixed
If this sensor fails, you'll need to use more force to steer your vehicle, especially at slower speeds. This could make it harder to control your car, increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will update the power steering control module software to fix the issue, and this repair is completely free. They'll do it as soon as you get the recall notice.
