What Happened
In your Audi SQ5, the electric power steering system helps you turn the wheels with less effort. The steering motor sensor is a small part that helps this system work. In some 2014-2015 models, this sensor can fail in cold temperatures.
Risk if Unfixed
If the steering motor sensor fails, you'll need to work harder to steer your vehicle at low speeds. This could make it harder to control your car, increasing the risk of a collision.

Your Audi dealer will update the steering control system's software to prevent this issue, and the repair is completely free. You should schedule the update as soon as you get the recall notice.
