Component

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:BODY CONTROL MODULE/BCM

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The body control module is a vital computer that helps control your Audi's lights, locks, and other systems. In some 2018-2022 Q5 and SQ5 models, liquid can seep into this module and cause it to shut down.
Risk if Unfixed
If the gateway control module fails, your engine power will suddenly drop, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your authorized Audi dealer will add a protective cover to the gateway control module and seal any water-prone seams, all at no cost to you. You should schedule the repair as soon as you receive the recall notice.
