ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The gateway control module in your vehicle is a computer that helps manage many systems, like the engine and lights. It's located under the rear seat, and if liquid gets spilled on it, it could shut down.
Risk if Unfixed
If the gateway control module fails, your engine power will suddenly drop, which could make it harder to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a protective cover over the gateway control module to keep it safe from spills, free of charge. You'll get a letter with more details and a deadline to schedule the repair.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:INSTRUMENT PANEL:FUEL GAUGE:FUEL LEVEL FLOAT/SENSOR/SENDING UNIT

Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The fuel level sensor in your vehicle is what tells you how much gas you have left. In your 2019-2022 A6 or A7, or 2021-2022 RS6, RS7, A6 Allroad, or S6/S7, the sensor might get stuck, giving you an incorrect reading.
Risk if Unfixed
If the sensor is stuck, you might think you have more gas than you actually do. This could cause your engine to stall, making it harder to control your vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Free Fix
Audi will install a new fuel level sensor in your tank, free of charge. You should schedule the repair as soon as you get the recall notice in the mail.
