ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER
Manufacturer
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
What Happened
The turbocharger in your Audi is the part that helps your engine breathe in more air and get more power. The oil strainer is a filter that keeps debris out of the turbocharger's oil supply. In some 2013-2017 models, this strainer can get clogged, starving the turbocharger of the oil it needs.
Risk if Unfixed
If the oil strainer blocks, the turbocharger's bearings can wear out. This can cause the turbine wheel to scrape against the housing or even snap, leading to an engine stall. This could make it hard to control your vehicle and increase the risk of a collision.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the oil strainer and freshen up your engine oil, all at no cost to you. You should schedule this repair as soon as you get the recall notice.

FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
Manufacturer
Volkswagen of America, Inc.
What Happened
The fuel line in your Audi S6 or S7 is the hose that carries gasoline from your tank to your engine. In some 2013-2014 models with 4.0L engines, this line may not be properly sealed.
Risk if Unfixed
If the fuel line leaks, it could cause a fire if there's an ignition source nearby, like a spark or an open flame.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will replace the faulty fuel line with a new one, and it's free. You'll be notified when the repair is ready, and you should schedule it as soon as possible.

The passenger seat in your Audi has a special mat under the seat cushion that senses the weight and position of the person sitting there. In some 2012-2018 models, this mat can wear down or get damaged, causing a computer to misread the passenger's presence.
Risk if Unfixed
If the computer thinks the passenger seat is empty when it's not, the airbag may not deploy properly in a crash, which could lead to serious injury.
Free Fix
Your Audi dealer will install a repair kit that fixes the passenger airbag system, and it won't cost you a thing. They'll contact you with a schedule for the repair once the recall notice is sent out.
